Mangonui Harbour

 8.5.18
Not far in the distance, seagulls dip their heads in the ocean trying to catch some food. I hear the ocean splashing on the jetty. I see the fish jumping out of the sea. Trawlers sailing onto the jetty sound like growling gorilla’s. I smell cheesy bait rotting next to chilly bins. Seagulls dive like dolphins under the salt water. Clouds like candy floss, fly across the sky. I feel the freezing salty sea touching my hands as waves splash up against the wharf.

  1. thank you Chelsea for your wonderful work. I like how you described the seagulls diving. What type of bait was it?
